sugar cravings!

July 4th, 2013

Can you make cookies healthy? I´m in the cookie making mode. Yesterday evening I had a real sugar craving. After a hard workout session my body wanted some extra energy but I managed to stay clear from the sugar!

Yesterdays workout was front squats, it has been a lot of squats lately and my muscles responds good to the effort.

This was the front squat ladder:
*Set 1 – 3 reps @ 93kg
*Set 2 – 2 reps @ 100kg
*Set 3 – 1 rep @ 105kg
*Set 4 – 3 reps @ 100kg
*Set 5 – 2 reps @ 105kg
*Set 6 – 1 rep @ 112,5kg

And here we have the metcon:
For time:
Row 500 Meters
20 Chest-to-Bar Pull-Ups
40 Walking Lunges with Two Kettlebell Farmer Carry (32/24 kg)
20 Chest-to-Bar Pull-Ups
Row 500 Meters
time: 11:20.

So how about this strong legs I´m walking around with? I have a theory that in my childhood and when I was practicing track and field there was a lot of jumping involved. Jumping is that part of the training that really challenge your bones and muscles. You need to have the balance and good body control to respond to a lot more weight then only your body weight in a accelerated movement. So if you want to challenge your self, pick a nice hill and try to jump up for it with the so called  “mång-steg” challenge. Even frog-jumping is really good, but try to making them sometimes as high as possible and sometimes as far as possible. I have a long list of different jumping-skill workouts, so if you are interested I can put something together? You can get more explosive muscles – jump!

So back to the cookies…. I read that Jen4Jen (Jennifer) did some bars with peanut butter and holistic banana – coco protein so I had to try that one! They are now done and are waiting for me to eat them all :) I hope these will be a good treat to the coffee after my lunch so stay tuned!

– some!? a lot (!) of peanut butter
-some almonds
-some coconut-banan protein
-some honey
– some oatmeal
